1 Corinthians 3 5-9 (NCV) says, “Is Apollos important? No! Is Paul important? No! We are only servants of God who helped you believe. Each one of us did the work God gave us to do. I planted the seed, and Apollos watered it. But God is the One who made it grow. So the one who plants is not important, and the one who waters is not important. Only God, who makes things grow, is important. The one who plants and the one who waters have the same purpose, and each will be rewarded for his own work. We are God’s workers, working together; you are like God’s farm, God’s house.”

What are the principles of an effective harvest of success?

1. Connect – just like Paul who has men like Apollos working with him in the harvest field, ask God for a team of people with the same vision, spirit, and passion to help you in reaping the harvest of success that God wants you to have. Remember “It takes TEAMWORK makes the DREAM WORK.”

2. Lead – now you have your team with you, it’s time to lead them in the harvest. Encourage, serve and inspire them to be what God called them to be. Be with them in the harvest field whatever it may be. Spend days in prayer and in joyful fellowships, discussing the things that everyone goes through in the harvest field and share life together. Disciple them.

3. Ascribe – lastly, expect challenges. This won’t be a harvest field worth the toil if it will be that easy. There would be misunderstandings, offense, and disappointments even within the team. Don’t stop do not doubt in the dark what God has told you in the light. Just like Apostle Paul, remember that above whatever we have contributed to the harvest, in the end, God is the one who makes all things grow, prosper and succeed. So do not forget to ascribe to God every good thing that happens along the way as you work with faith for that harvest of success.

With your team, have each one answer this question: “How does God define success?
